School Library

We believe strongly in the need for children to have access to books and the school library is therefore right at the heart of the school in every sense. The library is housed in a beautiful modern room in a central area of the school. It is filled with an exceptional range of fiction and non-fiction books arranged by the Dewey decimal system. The library also has a number of PCs allowing controlled access to the internet for research.

The school has its own librarian, Mrs Turney, and is open every day for the prep children to visit at lunchtime. There are also regular library lessons. Older girls are given the opportunity to be librarians and so guide younger library users.

There is also a large selection of books available to our younger pupils in the pre-prep Open Area. Each classroom also has a generous selection of reading material to support and extend the school's reading scheme materials.
