Computing Fun!

In Computing lessons over lockdown and since our return to school the children have been focusing on a range of different topics.

Year 1 have created some amazing mazes, as they thought about programming and problem solving. Our Year 2’s have been finding out about the Ozobot robots and have learnt about colour codes and explored maps that their robots have been able to follow with some ‘unplugged’ activities. In Year 3 the girls have been problem solvers, completing a range of programming topics using Blockly and are now creating stop-frame animations using PowerPoint. Year 4 have been programming traffic light simulations using software called Flowol and our Year 5’s have produced some amazing 3D towns using the simplified CAD online CAD tools, Tinkercad. Year 6 have been continuing their digital journey using the Innovation and Digital Enterprise Awards, with two of our pupils, Jasmine and Margarita, achieving their Bronze awards already, which is an amazing first few weeks spanning our blended ‘lockdown’ and return to school learning!
