Sport Spring Term Round Up

Even in these strange times our children at Warwick Prep have been participating in an array of sport.

Throughout lockdown our pupils stayed active with the PE department’s live wake and shake each morning which regularly had over 80 children attending, as well as live lessons throughout the week. They had the opportunity to be part of a live Q & A with two Super league netballers.

Since coming back to school, the Prep girls have enjoyed netball in their game's lessons and the abundance of extra-curricular clubs on offer.

The Year 6 girls raced in a virtual cross-country competition, competing in Malvern Colleges cross country. A 3km course was quite a challenge but all the girls showed excellent determination and resilience throughout. Nancy ran the course in an impressive 13mins 13sec.

In the Pre-Prep we have also enjoyed an array of recorded and live activities. Year 2 have got stuck in with their games-based learning and the lower years focusing on fundamental movement skills. It has been wonderful seeing the children play sport again and working with others.

PE Department Challenge

Throughout the last couple of weeks of term, the PE Department have been completing their challenges set by the girls. Miss Clark will have done a total of 3500 burpees when the week is up, Mr Proctor scored some fantastic goals in hockey and Mrs Parkinson- Mills ran an astounding 32miles on Monday. This is all in aid of the fantastic charity, Mind.
