Six Steps to Admissions

There are five entry points into the School: Nursery (3+), Reception (4+), Year 3 (7+), Year 4 (8+) and Year 5 (9+). Occasionally there are places available in other years and it is always worth contacting the Admissions Team for availability options.

Warwick Preparatory School is girls only from Year 3+. On the basis of their progress at Warwick Prep, and their aptitude, girls will be offered a guaranteed place at King’s High for Year 7. If there are any concerns, then Entrance Examination for King’s High will determine a place, as with candidates outside the Foundation.

Boys progress to Warwick Junior School across campus at the end of Year 2, and based on their progress and aptitude will proceed to Warwick Senior School for Year 7.

Step 1 - Get in Touch

We can talk you through what we might be able to offer your child, current availability of places and answer any questions that you might like to ask about Warwick Prep. You can also request a prospectus from us to help you find out more about what makes Warwick Prep School so special.

Step 2 - Visit the School

We hold regular Open Events throughout the year. In the meantime, take a look at our virtual tour. For more information, please contact our Admissions Team at admissions@warwickprep.com or call 01926 491545.

Step 3 - Register your Child

Complete and return the registration form (PDF - 0.2 MB), together with the registration fee of £100 and a copy of your child's full birth certificate (which lists both parents), and passport, to admissions@warwickprep.com or The Registrar, Warwick Preparatory School, Banbury Road, Warwick, CV34 6PL.

If you wish to pay your registration fee over the phone, then please contact Finance on 01926 735414.

  • All registrations are recorded in the order in which the form and registration fee are received. Early registration is therefore recommended.
  • You can register your children from birth.

Step 4 - Arrange an Assessment or Taster Day

Assessments

Girls joining Warwick Prep from Year 3 onwards are required to sit our Entrance Assessment, based on the National Curriculum of Maths and English. Satisfactory school references and reports are required for all children being considered for a place at Warwick Prep.

To find out more about our assessment days, please contact our Admissions Team on admissions@warwickprep.com.

Taster Days

Children joining mid-year into Years 1 and 2 attend a taster day (or morning).

For further information or to register your child, please contact the Admissions Team on 01926 491545 or admissions@warwickprep.com.

Step 5 - Await your offer letter

The first round of Nursery and Reception offers are made a year ahead of the proposed September entry. It is always worth getting in touch with the Admissions Team to discuss the availability of places for these year groups.

Offers for joining Year 3, 4 and 5 are made following the Entrance Assessment days, usually held the January prior to the proposed September entry.

Offers to join other year groups are made, as and when, places become available.

Step 6 - Accept the place and get ready to start!

Once you have formally accepted a place, we will be in touch with all the information you need to ensure that your child's start at Warwick Prep is as happy and straightforward as possible.
