Structure of our School

Warwick Prep is split into The Squirrels Nursery, Reception, Pre-Prep department and Prep department. The Squirrels Nursery, Reception and Pre-Prep department is for girls and boys aged between 3 and 7. The Prep department is for girls aged between 7 and 11.

The usual joining points are The Squirrels Nursery at 3+ (about 60 new children), into Reception at 4+ (about 20 new children), into Year 3 (about 10 new girls) and into Year 5 (about 10 new girls). There are sometimes spaces available in other year groups. Please contact the Admissions Department regarding availability.

The Squirrels Nursery (boys and girls from 3+)

We have three Nursery classes which are limited to a usual maximum of 20 children each. Each class has an experienced Early Years staff member and a fully qualified teacher.

Reception and Pre-Prep (boys and girls from 4+)

We have four classes in each Reception and Pre-Prep year. Classes are limited to a usual maximum of 20 children and are broadly balanced between boys and girls. Each Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 class has a fully qualified form teacher and teaching assistant.

Prep (Girls from 7+)

In the Prep Department, there may be 2 or 3 forms in each year group. Class sizes are usually capped at 24 pupils. In each Year 3 class, pupils are supported by a full-time teaching assistant.
