Structure of the School
Warwick Prep is split into two parts - the Pre-Prep and the Prep Departments. The Pre-Prep is for girls and boys aged between 3 and 7. The Prep is for girls aged between 7 and 11.
The usual joining points are into Nursery at 3+ (about 60 new children), into Reception at 4+ (about 20 new children), into Year 3 (about 10 new girls) and into Year 5 (about 10 new girls). There are sometimes spaces available in other year groups. Please contact the Admissions Department regarding availability.
Pre-Prep (Boys and girls from 3+)
We have three Nursery classes and four classes in each Pre-Prep year. Classes are limited to a usual maximum of 20 children and are broadly balanced between boys and girls. Each Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 class has a full-time form teacher and teaching assistant.
Prep (Girls from 7+)
In the Prep Department (Years 3 – 6), there are two classes in Year 3, led by Form Teachers supported by Teaching Assistants, and three classes in Years 4, 5 and 6 led by Form Teachers. The number of subjects taught by specialist staff increases and in Years 4, 5 and 6, girls are taught in ability groups for English and Mathematics.
