Celebrating VE Day
At Warwick Prep School today, we are celebrating the 80th anniversary of VE Day.
The children and staff came to school dressed in blue, white and red, and at break time, they went out into the playground with flags and banners to have an aerial photo taken with a drone to mark the occasion.
In morning assembly, the children learnt about World War II, including the effects of evacuation on children and the impact of rationing. As voted for by the pupils, the catering team prepared a traditional roast beef lunch, followed by a delicious sticky toffee pudding!
