Stepping back in time to the Newsies strike of 1899 New York, the girls showed that friendship and teamwork can overcome even the greatest of challenges. 

With support from the Year 6 team who encouraged them to explore their characters’ feelings, brilliant choreography from Miss Carvell and expert advice on singing with emotion from Miss Griggs, the girls delivered a star performance.  

The rehearsal and performance process brought the entire year group together, with the girls cheering one another on and helping each other remember lines. It was an experience the Year 6 pupils will remember forever!
