Children in Need

We have been supporting Children in Need all week at Warwick Prep!
We had a very special visitor at the start of the week to officially open our Pudsey Room - Pudsey Bear! Pupils visited the Pudsey Room to take part in fun activities, quizzes and competitions, all helping to raise money for Children in Need, the important charity that supports children and young people across the UK to feel safe, happy and ready to learn.

Each activity cost 25p and pupils had a fantastic time playing games such as pin the eye on Pudsey, hula-hooping, bean bag tossing and hook a duck, as well as joining in competitions like colouring in Pudsey and guessing how many sweets were in the jar.
Our House Captains encouraged pupils to take part in 'Challenge 25'. What fun activity could you do 25 times? There were some fantastic achievements including peeling 25 carrots, blowing up 25 balloons, taking part in 25 acts of kindness and cycling 25 miles, to name just a few! There were Pudsey Bear prizes for the children who raised the most money. Thank you to everyone who took part.

We have also been selling Children in Need merchandise, including Pudsey ears and pin badges which pupils wore on Friday along with non-uniform and something yellow or spotty for a donation. The Pre-Prep children had the chance to have Pudsey ‘spots’ painted on their faces too.
The children were bear-y excited to welcome Pudsey Bear to their Children in Need assembly. Pudsey helped hand out prizes from our Pudsey Room competitions and ‘Challenge 25’ and was incredibly grateful for all the donations and support from our school community for this fantastic cause. He even popped in to say hello to the delighted children in The Squirrels Nursery.

Our wonderful office team have been busily counting up all the donations, and we’re delighted to announce our total is… £2873.06! This is an incredible £392.45 more than we raised last year! Thank you to everyone for your support.
