The Year 5 girls were the first to depart, travelling to France. They were fortunate to enjoy beautiful weather throughout an action-packed week including a visit to a snail farm (where they even tried l’escargot!), paying their respects at First World War memorials, practising their French at a local market and cooling off with fun watersports.

The week ended with a celebratory French tasting evening featuring pâté, cheeses, meats, honey and even frog’s legs! The girls returned home with improved French vocabulary, souvenirs for their families, a lot of washing and plenty of fantastique memories.
