Anti-Bullying Week

The theme of this year’s Anti-Bullying Week was ‘Reach Out’.

The Anti-Bullying Alliance which coordinates Anti-Bullying Week every year in England and Wales, consulted teachers and children up and down the country, and it was clear that they wanted a theme that empowered everyone to do something positive to counter the harm and hurt that bullying causes.

On Monday, we started off Anti-Bullying Week with Mrs Alder’s Odd Socks Day assembly where staff and children wore odd socks to celebrate what makes us all unique.

Throughout the week, pupils took part in lots of different activities and assemblies where we reinforced the key messages about bullying and how our school approaches bullying.

Anti-Bullying Week was certainly a real opportunity to remind everyone to ‘Reach Out’ and show each other the support we need.
