Empowering the Women of the Future
On International Women's Day, the Year 5 girls had the amazing opportunity to hear about Dr Helen Maddock's journey in her career as a Senior Researcher and Professor at Coventry University.
Helen shared her story, focussing on empowering the women of the future.
Lily, in Year 5, shared:
Dr Maddock makes heart cells beat again and researches into new drugs that are safe for the heart. She also runs a company and works with people in the pharmaceutical industry, doctors and her research team. Dr Maddock told us, "Reach for the stars because the world is our oyster and we can do anything we want if we try."
