Celebrating a tremendously successful inspection report

In June 2025, a team from the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) visited us for three days and I was extremely proud of how our community pulled together to show the excellence of our school. The inspection was tremendously successful, and the members of the inspection team were very impressed with our school.

They went into lessons and activities, interviewed many of our children, met with staff, governors and leaders from across our school and Foundation teams, and reviewed a huge range of core evidence, including parent, pupil and staff surveys. I would like to thank you and your children for your support during the inspection and the positive feedback you shared with ISI.

This was our first inspection within a new inspection framework, and we are now inspected on a three-year cycle that combines a full review of school compliance with a thorough analysis of educational quality. The structure and wording within ISI reports have changed and schools are no longer given headline judgements such as our previous ‘excellent’; instead, they are assessed as to whether they meet the expected ISI standards relating to five key areas.

I am delighted to report that Warwick Prep has met the required standard in every one of these areas.

In addition, less than ten per cent of schools inspected by ISI achieve a coveted ‘Significant Strength’ and we are delighted that our Early Years provision has been identified as such.

The report celebrates our work across a range of core areas, and I have selected some highlights below:

  • “The integration of emotional literacy into the curriculum contributes notably to pupils’ well-being. Pupils communicate with confidence and display mutual respect and empathy.”
  • “The early years provision is a significant strength of the school.”
  • “Leaders have adopted a common vocabulary for learning which supports both staff and pupils and includes skills of critical thinking and ‘sticky’ questions, which are thought-provoking and aimed to stimulate discussion. This results in pupils being able to extend their thinking and take control of the next steps in their learning.”
  • “Governors support leaders in meeting the needs of all pupils in line with the school's aims and ethos of prioritising the well-being and happiness of every member of the school community.”
  • “The school has a secure safeguarding culture with robust policies and procedures in place. Pupils are heard and supported."
  • “Pupils’ positive learning behaviour and attitudes reflect embedded high expectations. They are enthusiastic learners, responding with excitement to new experiences.”
  • “The extra-curricular activity programme is varied and offers a wide range of experiences for pupils of all abilities. Through the programme of activities, educational visits and residential trips, pupils develop and learn new skills and interests.”

I hope you enjoy reading the full report below.
