Year 3 Unwrap Christingle

The Year 3 girls visited St Nicholas Church to learn all about the meaning of Christingle.

Working in groups, the children explored the church to find the different components of a Christingle and used them to create their own paper version. Once they had gathered all the parts, they learnt what each one represents: the orange symbolises the world, the red ribbon represents the love of Christ, the sweets signify God’s gifts to us, and the four cocktail sticks stand for the four seasons.
