I have always loved the emotional power of poetry; the way the words feel on your tongue, the images conquered by the poet’s paintbrush, the deep connection with your soul! Chaucer, Shakespeare, T.S. Eliot, Wilfred Owen, Emily Bronte, Philip Larkin – these are the poets of my school days and I can still recite some of their lines! Thanks to my teachers, I have a lifelong love and appreciation of all things literary.
On Wednesday, girls in the Prep department had the exciting opportunity of a live Q & A with Super League netballers, Lucy and Rosie Harris. The sisters gave some inspiring answers and an insight into what it’s like to be an elite athlete. They spoke about various aspects of their life such as their childhood growing up, new ventures with their netball app 'Netu' and barriers they have overcome. They both reinforced the message of being kind to yourself and being a supportive team member, core values for us at Warwick Prep.
Before Half Term, girls in our Prep department had great fun getting creative during their Science lessons from drawing to using a range of materials.
