In Computing lessons over lockdown and since our return to school the children have been focusing on a range of different topics.
It has been a busy term in Year 4.
It has been wonderful to have the children back in the Science labs. Year 3 girls have been investigating the strength of different magnets and making magnetic games. While Year 4 have been exploring a variety of physical and chemical changes from burning paper to melting ice. Year 5 have been making models of blood and Year 6 have investigated the importance of hand washing, and actually saw the microbial grown on agar plates.
The Nursery children have had a very busy term, as they continued to make good use of their new playground. They have been exploring the musical instruments outdoors and love playing on the climbing frame.

Reception had a busy start to the term learning about ‘Space’! The children enjoyed sharing stories about space; learning about real-life astronauts including Tim Peake and Neil Armstrong and creating their own rockets and space stations either at school or at home. Reception listened to music from ‘The Planet Suite’ by Gustav Holst and drew or painted their own planets.
The teachers in Year 2 have been thrilled to be back in school with the children. They have settled back into their routines and friendships very well and it has been a real joy to see!
Cyber Cyril has been enjoying a lot more screen time over the last year of lockdowns, and not just for school work.
We have thoroughly enjoyed supporting Red Nose Day, raising a fantastic total £1,277 for Comic Relief.
Celebrate our return to school through the power of Art, for just ‘a minute A day’.
Our brilliant Comic Relief activity books are now available, in both a Pre-Prep and Prep version, with games, quizzes, recipes, colouring and information about the charity.
Throughout Warwick Prep, World Book Day celebrations were enjoyed by all. An array of book characters filled the classrooms, enjoying a day of fun activities including; making books, sharing stories and listening to some of the Senior School pupils read their favourite stories.
