Poetry Performances and Tudor Family Trees
Year 5 have been working incredibly hard this term at home and upon their return to school. Both the children and staff were so delighted to be back together in the classroom.
The girls have really enjoyed the opportunity to play and work with their friends again. Some of the highlights of remote learning include: creating the magnificent Tudor family trees and timelines which reflected great independent research and presentation skills; coordinate Pirate maps exploring the four quadrants; poetry performance in English lessons of both ‘Cleanliness’ by Charles Lamb and their own poems inspired by Berlie Doherty’s ‘Street Child’.
Form times during home learning were enhanced by the girls sharing a variety of skills and talents (and cameo parts played by household pets!). These ranged from musical performances, book reviews and readings, artwork, gymnastics to dance routines to name but a few.
