Sports News

Since the beginning of the autumn term, there have been many wonderful sporting achievements.

Hockey

What a fabulous week of hockey, we have had two whole year group fixtures for Year 6 and Year 4’s first ever hockey match. The Year 6’s produced a strong performance in all teams against Bromsgrove and came away with an overall win. On Wednesday we took all the girls to Tilsley Park to play Manor Prep School, the games were very close and lots of goals were scored. The rain poured down over the Year 4’s for their match but that didn’t stop the sea of smiles across the pitch! As a department we have been so proud of how all the girls have embraced hockey this half term and we look forward to all of the fixtures to come.

Aquathlon

A fantastic morning was had by all at the Aquathlon on Saturday 25 September. It was great to see girls from all years groups competing. The atmosphere was electric, and the competition was a very high standard, the resilience and tenacity shown by all was inspiring. The girls and boys impressed with their swimming and running. It really was a morning for all pupils to enjoy and we hope to encourage even more girls to participate in this wonderful event next year. A big well done to all of those involved, you should be incredibly proud of yourselves.
